NCFM Member/Adviser Phillip Cook on Anderson Cooper 360

August 2, 2014

Phillip CookNCFM NOTE: This panel discussion, about Ray Rice and domestic violence, is the only discussion on a major network show that we’ve seen  (Anderson Cooper 360), in which everyone, including the host, acknowledge that not only doe women abuse men but theirs a double standard! Amazing. Not even one misandric feminist on the show. Looks like we are making headway. And Mr. Phillip Cook is superb. Thanks you Phil! Thank you Anderson Cooper!

CNN 7/30/2014 11:40:20 PM: >>> so tonight the baltimore ravens announced that their star running back ray rice will address the media tomorrow. the nfl suspended rice for two games after charges he assaulted his fiancee. espn’s sportscaster stephen a. smith made these comments about domestic abuse after that. >> we got to also make sure that you can do your part to do whatever you can do to make — to try to make sure it doesn’t happen. we know they’re wrong. we know they’re criminal. we know they probably deserve to be in jail. in ray rice’s case he probably deserve morse than the two-game suspension. but at the same time we have to make sure that we learn as much as we can about elements of provocation. not at this there is real provocation. but the elements of provocation, you have to make sure you address it. what we’ve got to do is do what we can tory to prevent the situation from happening in any way. >> so joining me now is any ceballos and dr. judy ho, the clinical and forensic welcome, everyone. psychologist. this has been a very touchy subject. everyone has been talking about this, and really having strong opinions about it. so danny, yesterday espn suspended stephen a. smith for one week due to his comments suggesting women shouldn’t provoke men to hit them. apology, his apology this week. he apologized i should say after that suspension, or just before that suspension. what do you make of this?

Also over the years the site has changed dramatically, been taken down, moved, and otherwise uprooted. In those processes much information was lost, not recovered, and does not appear on this site. Honorable Men

The New Warrior community is a group of men who specially pride themselves on being honorable. Tim Goldich, President NCFM Chicago Chapter and author of, Loving Men, Respecting Women: The Future of Gender Politics joined that community several years ago. He came to realize just how vulnerable honorable men are to having their honor used against them. Our fate may indeed depend upon honorable conduct. To better understand how the misuse of Man’s honor is a root cause of issues and ideas found on this website you should first read Mr. Goldich’s article, The Honorable Man. It lights the way to understanding how The Honorable Man can be manipulated into becoming The Complacent Man.
