Making purchases
Using Frames
Downloading files
If you live outside of the United States and you do NOT have a U.S. bank account you must purchase your membership with a money order made out in United States currency. We are unable to deal with any money other than U.S. currency. Banks in the United States charge fees for handling foreign currency that are way beyond anything we would feel comfortable charging you to join.
ONLINE DONATION - Click on the button for Network For Good and follow the instructions. Network For Good services organizations who are legally registered with the Internal Revenue Service in the United States.
Donations through Network For Good can only be used for donating. You can not purchase a membership through this method. To join you must send a check ($30.00 USA) to NCFM, PO Box 582023, Minneapolis, MN 55458-2023.
Network For Good charges $3.00 to process a donation. This simply covers their costs. You can pay this fee yourself or you can permit it to be automatically deducted from whatever you donate.
PURCHASING MERCHANDISE
There are two means by which purchases are made through the NCFM web site:
1)- Affiliate Programs. NCFM is registered with several merchants who offer organizations a commission for selling their products. Amazon.com is one such merchant. DealNerd.com is another example. Our ID at DealNerd is 8432.
Deal Nerd is a consumer union based on a multi-level marketing program. By signing up under NCFM, NCFM will receive a percentage of your purchase. You, in turn, can sign up other people and receive a percentage of their purchases - and NCFM will get something too. The best part is receiving rebates offered by individual merchants. You do not have to sign up anyone to profit from this. In addition, special offers are available that will enable you to earn cash quite apart from the multi-level marketing plan. It costs nothing to sign up and participate.
There is never a requirement to give credit card information until you are ready to make a purchase.
2)- Purchase direct from NCFM. In order to accept credit cards every seller on the internet must have a merchant account. NCFM uses Pay Pal. Recently Pay Pal expanded its services to include the ability to make a purchase using a credit card. In the old days shoppers were required to deposit funds with Pay Pal before they could buy things on the internet. You can still use this method if you want. But this is no longer required. When you use your credit card you will be asked to register with Pay Pal. Today the system is no different or more complicated than making a purchase through any other large merchant, such as Amazon.
When you use Pay Pal in the NCFM General Store, National Coalition of Free Men is the merchant and all orders will be filled by us. Note that we provide you with the choice of not using a credit card. You can send us a check through the U.S. mail if you wish (click on "Order - Send Check"). Major credit cards accepted are Master Charge, Visa, Discover and American Express.
Frames vs Text home page.
DISPLAYING TEXT OR FRAMES HOME PAGE:
When you first enter this site you will display our text based home page. You are given the opportunity to choose to use our frames based home page, which you chose, or you wouldn't have access to this help page. A text based page is one page that covers the whole screen. A frames page divides your screen into two or more sections.
This site is designed primarily to serve those who can only use text based web sites. At the bottom of each page you are provided with a hypertext link that will allow you to return to our home page. The link at the bottom of each page will display our text based home page. We are in the process of updating these links. In some cases, clicking on a link at the bottom of this window will eliminate the frames feature. In other cases, you will display a new page in this window. Eventually, whenever you click on a link in this window, the frames feature will be eliminated.
Because you have chosen to use our frames based system, you should restrict yourself to using the hypertext provided in the window to your left. If you accidentally choose to click on the hypertext link at the bottom of a page to return to our home page, you can correct this mistake. Simply scroll down to the bottom of the framed page at your left. You will see a link that says, Home Page Frames Version. Click on this.
You can control the size of your viewing area for either the left side of your screen or the right side of your screen. Your screen is divided in two by a heavy line at your left. Move the cursor over the dividing line until it changes (into two parallel lines with an arrow coming out of each side). Click the left mouse button, hold it down and drag the boarder to either the left or the right.
USE THE SCROLL BARS at the right side of either of the two sections of your screen to move up and down the page. Click on the rectangular bar with the left mouse button. Hold it down and drag the rectangle down and then up.
You may click here to return to our Home Page inside of frames.
Place the mouse inside the section of the screen you want to save. Click the left mouse button to make that section of your screen the active frame. Choose File. Choose Save Frame As. You will display a dialogue box asking you where you want to save the contents of the frame. You will be able to save what you see, including all of the HTML code.
You may click here to return to our Home Page inside of frames.
Put the mouse inside the section of the screen you want to print. Click the left mouse button to make that section of your screen the active frame. Choose File. Choose Print Frame. You will display a dialogue box that will show you some printing options. Choose any options you want and then choose OK. The text and any graphics that you see on your screen will print. Note: Special background colors and patterns will not print. If you want that, you will have to obtain special software.
You may click here to return to our Home Page and remain inside of frames.
There are three possibilities: 1)- To view the html code for the page that combines the top banner with the left and right side pages, click on View. Choose Document Source. 2)- To view the html code for the left frame, place your cursor in the left frame. Click your left mouse button to make it the active frame. Next, choose View on your browser's menu. Choose Frame Source. 3)- To view the html code for the right frame, place your cursor in the right frame. Click your left mouse button to make the right side frame the active frame. Next, choose View on your browser's menu. Choose Frame Source.

MAKING PURCHASES
MEMBERSHIP - At present you can not obtain membership in the National Coalition of Free Men through the use of a credit card or by using the "donation" button. If you have a bank account at a U.S.A. bank, you may pay for a membership by either using a money order or a personal check.

In addition, if you wish, Pay Pal will allow you to create an electronic check.

DOWNLOADING FILES.
You simply click on the file you want. You will be presented with a dialogue box that will have multiple choices. Choose Save As. You will be asked where you want to save the file.
Once the file is saved, you will have to uncompress it.
HOW TO UNZIP (UNCOMPRESS) FILES:
We have provided a link to a sharewhere site for both IBM compatible computers using Windows and Macintosh. You will find complete instructions by clicking on the hypertext we have provided. The IBM compatible program we recommend is WinZip. The program for the Macintosh is ZIPIT. Click here for the links we recommend you use in order to download software that will uncompress files.
You may click here to return to our Home Page inside of frames.

Our compressed files are either MicroSoft Word version 6 documents or ASCII documents. Read the description of each file carefully. MicroSoft Word documents will not display properly in competing brands of word processors. If you have a different brand of word processor, you will need to read your manual to see if it has a program to CONVERT MicroSoft Word into a format your word processor can understand. ASCII documents can be read by any word processor.
Also watch out for file size. You will need enough free disk space to accommodate large files.
