FREE MEN Public Hearing RoomWELCOME!

  1. COMMENTS ON STATE PATERNITY FRAUD WORK GROUP REPORT - In January 2003 the State of California formed a workgroup, under the direction of Governor Gray Davis, to develop recommendations to the legislature regarding paternity fraud (where a mother names the wrong man as the father of her child). National Coalition of Free Men, Los Angeles Chapter, played a major role in this workgroup, which also included the Department of Child Support Services, the California National Organization for Women, State Senator John Ashburn (R-Bakersfield), various paternity fraud victims and other organizations. In March 2003 the workgroup concluded its report, available from the California Department of Child Support Services. Because the various group members did not all agree on all recommendations, they were given the opportunity to submit comments that would be attached permanently to the back of the report. The report is being submitted to Governor Arnold Schwarzennegar. This file includes the comments submitted by NCFM-LA. (this file uses Adobe Reader and is in PDF format).

  2. LEGAL NOTICE: CIRCUMCISION. DOCTORS MAY BE LIABLE FOR CRIMINAL ASSAULT

  3. VIOLENCE IN SOCIETY - Speech delivered by Senator Anne Cools to the Canadian Senate on March 28, 1995. Ms. Cools is dismayed at the way society "looks the other way" when it comes to violence committed by females. She also strives to educate on the matter of male victims of domestic violence. Senator Cools is NCFM's 1998 award winner for Excellence In The Advancement Of Men's Issues. To see who else has accepted the NCFM award series, click here.

  4. SUMMARY OF NCFM TESTIMONY BEFORE THE SECOND CIRCUIT FEDERAL COURT, Sept. 20. On September 20, 1995, NCFM representative, Robert Fay, M.D., addressed the topic of gender bias against men in the courts. Men get longer sentences than women for the same crime and men are unable to get heard in federal court on domestic relations matters, were his main points.

  5. OUTLINE OF NCFM TESTIMONY BEFORE THE SECOND CIRCUIT FEDERAL COURT, March 6. On March 6, 1996, NCFM representative, Joseph Sahid, Esq., addressed the topic of gender bias against men in the courts. Women find it easier to access the federal court system for the redress of their grievances than do men, was the main point.

  6. TESTIMONY before the New York State Senate Standing Committee On Children and Families. In this testimony a father admits that he is a "deadbeat dad" AND is proud of it. Report includes an analysis of the way custody of children is awarded and supports the "joint custody" approach.

  7. TESTIMONY before the Senate Committee on Juvenile Justice and Child Support in Arlington, Texas. In the rush to downsize government, private enterprise is lurking in the shadows waiting for the chance to take over where government leaves off. Should we be optomistic about this or cynical? Clearly, as this report shows, government routinely breaks the law and treats citizens unfairly, especially divorced fathers.

  8. TESTIMONY before the Texas Legislative Sunset Commission investigating the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and Child Protective Services, Texas. Did the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services misappropriate federal funds? How has the Texas Child Protective Services been overly intrusive and what reforms are needed?

  9. TESTIMONY before the Texas State Gender Bias In The Courts Task Force. More than half of the states in the USA have held public hearings on gender bias in the courts. They have been very resistant to hearing from men. Only one task force, so far, has invited a men's organization to speak about the broad range of issues affecting men in the courts.

  10. Child Support Incentive Payment Reform American Fathers' Coalition testimony before the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, September 10, 1997. National Coalition of Free Men is a participating member organization of AFC.

Membership has its priviledges. NCFM was founded on the realization that men needed a unified voice when expressing their desires and beliefs on important political and social issues of the day. Think of it as your Union.
