NCFM NOTE: This is the first brief filed by NCFM as the law firm. We have been involved in other actions but never as a law firm representing a client.
Right now, all work is done by a team of NCFM member volunteer researchers, paralegals, investigators, attorneys and administrators, all of who deserve an ovation or two. We are now working on several other cases while working toward solidifying our law firm.
This case is of importance from the standpoint of equity in Family Law, aside from which the plaintiffs personal situation in may ways is typical. Here, after many years, a mother asks for tens of thousands of dollars in back child support. Not so typical, the court sided with the father. The mother appealed, which brings us to where we are now. It’s a fascinating case, which when resolved in favor of our plaintiff may positively impact the outcome of similarly situated cases far into the future. More fascinating, the Department of Child Support Enforcement seems to neutral.
NCFM longtime member and volunteer attorney Marc Angelucci, Esq,here, is our lead attorney. Thank you Mr. Angelucci.
