It was Tom’s work with traumatized men over the last 25 years that helped bring him in contact with NCFM of which he’s been for over 10 years. This work gave him a clear picture of what is normally hidden from view; the hardships and discrimination that men face all too often when it comes to dealing with emotions and suffering. NCFM was the only national group that was chartered to address this sexism.
Tom Golden, LCSW is an author, speaker and psychotherapist. His book, Swallowed by a Snake: The Gift of the Masculine Side of Healing focuses on the unique ways that men and boys heal from trauma and loss and has been acclaimed by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and many others.
