NCFM National Charter
Proposed by NCFM Member Andrew Vergara
Preamble
For decades, the National Coalition for Men has stood where few others would — giving voice to issues affecting men and boys, challenging harmful stereotypes, and insisting that fairness and compassion must apply to everyone. This Charter affirms our commitment to that mission and invites supporters, members, and allies to help build a future where every boy and man is valued, protected, and heard.
Introduction (Inspirational, Donor‑Facing, Tightened)
The Coalition of Free Men, Inc., doing business as the National Coalition for Men (NCFM), is the nation’s longest‑standing nonprofit dedicated to advancing the civil rights and wellbeing of men and boys. Across the country and around the world, NCFM works to correct inequities, confront bias, and champion evidence‑based policies that strengthen families, communities, and society as a whole.
This National Charter sets forth NCFM’s purpose, authority, and guiding vision. It defines the core issues where men and boys face disproportionate challenges, and it outlines the strategies through which NCFM drives change — legal advocacy, public education, community support, and national coalition‑building.
For donors and supporters, this Charter represents more than an organizational framework; it is a promise. A promise that NCFM will continue to lead with integrity, speak boldly where others remain silent, and build a movement grounded in fairness, dignity, and compassion. By standing with NCFM, you help ensure that men, boys and the women who care about them receive the recognition, protection, and opportunities they deserve — and that our society becomes stronger for everyone.
