Public Hearing Announcement on SB 5461 the Disestablishing Paternity Act to #STOPPATERNITYFRAUD

Please join us in Olympia, WA at the WA State Capital to give public testimony in SUPPORT of passing SB 5461:

When: Thursday, February 9th, 2017

Time: 10:00 AM

Place: Senate Law and Justice Committee, in the John A. Cherberg Building, Olympia, WA

SAMPLE TESTIMONY BELOW (Free to use or create your own)

“Thank you Chairman, and Members of the Committee;

 My name is ______________________, and I am testifying today in SUPPORT of SB 5461.

 This Legislation is very important to many Washington Families who are negatively impacted by mis-attributed paternity.

 This bill would help restore the rights to children who have been legally kidnapped from their biological fathers, and would restore equity and justice to Men and their families who have wrongly been established as the father of non-genetic children.

 Children have an absolute right to know their fathers. It is what is in the best interest of the child, regardless of what any special interest groups may claim in opposition.

 This bill is long overdue in its passage to restore the rights, equity and justice to Washington Citizens, and I urge you to pass SB 5461 out of this Committee.

 Thank you

IMPORTANT, Please Note:

  • Arrive early! Recommend 9 AM to allow time to find parking and sign in to testify.
  • Bring quarters and debt card to pay for parking.
  • Bring a typed and signed written statement of testimony no more than 2 minutes in length, and give your written testimony to the Committee Staff when you are done with your testimony, so they may put it on the record. • Bring a friend and tour your Legislative Offices when you are done…talk to your law makers about the issue of Paternity Fraud and how they can support the passage of this reform!

    No child should be taken away from his dad or mother no matter what. I should know my mother gave us up because she met a new man and he already had 3 boys and didn’t want 3 more. She signed us over to the state.
    I am 68 years old and I WAS ADOPTED BY AN Air Force Family and I lead a good life and for those jokers who give up their kids should be screwed.
