The San Diego Domestic Violence Council, San Diego Fathers Network, and Solo Parenting in San Diego should be congratulated for putting together this first ever resource guide for fathers (55% resolution).
Hopefully, this will serve as an example to other communities. Sadly, there is only one organization listed with the word “men”, ours. There are two other organizations that stood out that are primarily for fathers. There are even a few organizations listed that from my perspective and experience are arguably anti-male. The absence of services dedicated to males is a reflection of how little males matter in our local community, which, of course, is true worldwide. Regardless, this resource guide is a step in the right direction, a step toward treating males as humans. To my knowledge this is also the first time NCFM has been included in a community based resource guide as a service provider.
Excellent. Way to go,NCFM.
This is great news. Its a start.
