NCFM Adviser Gordon E. Finlely, Ph.D., ON False Accusation of Sexual Misconduct

false allegation

Gordon E. Finley, Ph.D.

Writing as a father falsely accused of sexually molesting my two daughters during divorce proceedings, I am acutely sensitive to the issues and consequences of false accusations. This quick note is in response to the urgently surging power of media allegations of sexual misconduct to utterly destroy the lives and livelihoods of men sans judicial due process to which all men are entitled.

Tragically for men, the social media reality today is best captured by the words of the Queen in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

“’No, no!’ said the Queen. ‘Sentence first – verdict afterwards.’”

Absent in #metoo is any mechanism to ascertain whether the media allegations are true or if they are false.  Women today only rarely are punished for making false accusations of sexual misconduct and, indeed, often are greatly rewarded.  The pendulum — driven by the powerful and conspiratorial feminist-progressive complex — must be returned to center.

In my view, the most powerful way to make things right is to make the punishment fit the crime.

Falsely accused men have had their lives and livelihoods ruined. For equality and equity, so too must the lives of women who falsely accuse have their lives and livelihoods ruined in all of the ways that the lives of the men they have falsely accused have been ruined — sans due process of course.
