NCFM Open Records Act Request – Christian County Sheriff’s Department
by NCFM
On August 5, 2022, NCFM filed an Open Records Act request with the Christian County Kentucky Sheriff’s Department, seeking internal investigation records of gross incompetence or potential instances criminal corruption in the Pembroke murder investigation which eventually led to the fraudulent indictment and subsequent wrongful conviction of ‘Kit’ Martin.
On August 12, 2022, NCFM received a very brief email from what appears to be the second person in command of the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Major Jason Newby.
On August 29, 2022, NCFM responded to Major Newby’s email response and included the Christian County Magistrates as recipients.

As of this date, other than the initial email from Major Newby, we have received no response to our open records request.
If interested parties or residents have questions, you are welcome to contact Major Newby or the County Magistrates with questions or to voice your concerns. As always, be respectful and polite in any communications.
CHRISTIAN COUNTY MAGISTRATES
NCFM continues to welcome any information that concerned residents or others have, who may possess knowledge or information of these homicides.
As our correspondence reflects, under normal circumstances the issues we have raised concerning gross incompetence or potential criminal corruption in the investigation of these homicides, any responsible law enforcement leader would have already initiated an internal inquiry. That has not occurred nor is there any indication that any such inquiry would take place. It is clear that the Christian County Sheriff’s Department is completely compromised as well as any other agency who took part in this investigation.
As many residents or other interested parties who have some knowledge of these homicides have already done, if you have experienced or are continuing to experience some type of harassment, intimidation or have a concern for your personal safety if you speak out, please contact us, or notify the United States Marshals Service for the Western District of Kentucky.
NCFM Files Open Records Act Request with the Christian County Sheriff’s Department in the Matter of the Case of Christian ‘Kit’ Martin
I watched this trial, and it hugely biased against Mr Martin, also quite concerning that someone can be prosecuted with such lack of evidence and a trial filled with holes
They need to get to the bottom of this
I still cant believe they convicted Kit
He was definitely set up
By who I dont know but there needs to be an investigation
Please do everything you can to get this innocent man released. Christian is an honorable man who served his country and was framed by his ex- wife, who swore to him that she would ruin him. Christian passed his lie detector test. The others that took the test failed theirs. The man is in jail for crimes he did not commit. Thank you for anything that you can do to get him freed and back home where he belongs.
