Dear Judge Trentacosta,
I am president of The National Coalition For Men. NCFM is a nonprofit educational organization that raises awareness about how sex discrimination adversely affects men and boys. It is the oldest and largest men’s rights organization in the world. You can learn more about NCFM by visiting our website at
Several people have brought to my attention a gender discriminatory poster hanging from a wall in the South County Courthouse, a copy of which is below.
The listed ten stressful events for children of divorce are in no way gender specific. The blatant Dad bashing is unconscionable and indefensible. Can you imagine a young person seeing this poster when in fact their family situation involves a mother asking questions about the Dad, a mother saying bad things about the Dad, the mother saying she doesn’t like the child spending time with their Dad, and the mother acting unhappy?
We respectfully ask that the poster and all similar gender discriminatory posters, flyers, brochures, and other such items be immediately removed from all San Diego Superior Court Houses.
Harry Crouch

No Dad bashing.

Stop it.

Stop the Dad bashing.

Most Dads are good!

Maybe a lawsuit is in order to get these Judges to act according to their canons. Thurston County washington had these same posters until the news lit a fire under them to shine the light of day.

Then they removed them, stating they were mostly correct!

Feminist trained judges are black robed bigots.

Feminist trained judges can never know justice after being blinded by that bigotry.

Thank you! The prejudice runs so deep they cannot even see it when it is placed directly in front of them.

    Good lord.

You know, they didn’t even have to make every one of those statements “gender neutral.” If they’d just alternated sexes every other one, since people of both sexes do these things, that would have been good enough for me. Yeesh. Are we this blind to misandry?

Thank you Harry and NCFM for sending this letter! I remember when I did family law in San Diego and I had to do the same when the mediator had a totally gender biased poster on the wall, and the same for the child support services department. In both cases they did remove the posters. Amazing. Thank you.

Also over the years the site has changed dramatically, been taken down, moved, and otherwise uprooted. In those processes much information was lost, not recovered, and does not appear on this site. File a Federal Complaint

If you have specific instances of discrimination against male domestic violence victims by any government-funded DV program anywhere in the U.S., please send all evidence you have to the following federal agencies as a complaint, and state that this violates United States Code, Title 42, Section 3789d(c)(1). Give them as much evidence as you can. They are supposed to investigate it. After several months you may get a letter back saying there is "insufficient evidence" and that they need more information such as dates and times of the discrimination, names of the programs and contact info, names and contact info of witnesses, documents or records, and a detailed chronological narrative. So, re regarding evidence, the more the better. You can send the complaints by email, mail, or both. Send them to: Office of Civil Rights Office of Justice Programs U.S. Department of Justice 810 7th Street, NW Washington, DV 20531 Office of the Inspector General
