False Accusations of Rape

January 11, 2009

false accusationsAlmost every month we read of another man freed from prison because the false accusations that caused their incarceration were later proven false or a woman recanted.

Even if there is no conviction, a false allegation of rape emotionally, socially, and economically destroys a person and their immediate and often extended families.

False accusations of rape is psychological rape.  Yet, the names of the accusers are protected while the names of the accused are not.

False accusations are hard to measure and there is not much available research. However, what little research there is, that is scientific research, shows the problem is much more common than we are told.  Moreover, it is politically incorrect to fund massive studies about false accusations of any sort.

Some studies show that 50% or more of allegations examined are false.

According to an expert quoted in the CBC News Story Barrhaven sexual assault never a happened…, “for a four-year period from 2003-2007, 31 per cent of sexual assault claims that Ottawa Police investigated were dismissed as unfounded — that is, they never happened — as opposed to unsubstantiated, where there isn’t enough evidence to follow the case.”

The claim that only 2% of rape accusations are false is totally unfounded and is purportedly based on FBI crime data (though we have yet to see this confirmed), and crime data is never a reliable source to project upon the population as a whole, as compared to empirical research. This myth, often falsely attributed to FBI data, is not credible and has been debunked.  Greer, the Truth behind Legal Dominance Feminism’s ‘Two Percent False Rape Claim’ Figure, 33 Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review 947.

Regardless of what the numbers are, there is no excuse for the lack of attention to the problem.  Falsely accused persons are victims too, and to ignore, deny or downplay the experiences of those victims is a worse kind of hypocritical form of victim blaming.

False accusers should be prosecuted (they rarely are) and face the same punishment their accused might have or did receive.  Names of the accused should be protected as much as the names of the accusers. Pictures of false accusers should be posted like pictures of other types of criminals to warn others of potential harm. Furthermore, perhaps there should be a false accuser registration system like there is for sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence.  For more, see The Community of the Wrongly Accused.

According to the FBI: “The ‘unfounded’ rate, or percentage of complaints determined through investigation to be false, is higher for forcible rape than for any other Index crime. Eight percent of forcible rape complaints in 1996 were “unfounded,” while the average for all Index crimes was 2 percent. See page 24 at

John Davis , author of How to Avoid False Accusations of Rape: Self-defense in the Feminist State…, explained it this way in a relate post on our Facebook page:

Please allow me to clarify something about the common mistake that the FBI says the rate of false accusations of rape is only 8%.

If you read the actual report that you have linked, the report does not say that. What the report says is boilerplate language (in all FBI statistic reports on rape) that “Law enforcement determines that 8% of accusations of rape are false.”

That doesn’t mean the other 92% of rape accusations are true.

I was a prosecutor 3 times in a 35 year career as a trial lawyer. What the 8% figure in the FBI report means is that the police determine that 8% of accusations of rape are so false that they do not refer those cases to the prosecutors.

The prosecutors determine that AT LEAST another 60% of the cases are false and they are dismissed at the request of the prosecutors because they are false. In many of those 60% of false accusations, the prosecutors never even file charges.

We know that the rate of false accusations of rape, from several solid scientific studies, is AT LEAST 65% and may be much higher.

The reason we don’t know the exact rate of false accusations of rape above 65% is that many men, fearing a 50 year sentence, will plead guilty, even though they are innocent, in exchange for a sentencing cap. Many convicted men are, in fact, innocent but we don’t know how many.

That figure is conservative.  It does not include false claims never proven to be false or those buried as “unsubstantiated.” It also does not include false rape claims made to other sources besides police, such as universities. Private research have found much higher numbers.

In a nine-year study of 109 rapes reported to the police in a Midwestern city, Purdue sociologist Eugene J. Kanin reported that in 41% of the cases the complainants eventually admitted that no rape had occurred.  In a follow-up study of rape claims filed over a three-year period at two large Midwestern universities, Kanin found that of 64 rape cases, 50% turned out to be false.  Among the false charges, 53% of the women admitted they filed the false claim as an alibi.  Kanin, EJ, “An alarming national trend: False rape allegations,” Archives of Sexual Behavior, Vol. 23, No. 1, 1994. Kanin was once well known and lauded by the feminist movement for his groundbreaking research on male sexual aggression. His studies on false rape received very little attention.

In a study by the U.S. Air Force, about one-fourth of rape accusers recanted just before taking a lie detector test or after failing one.  Further research found 60% of the accusations were false.  The most common reasons given were spite or revenge, feelings of guilt or shame, or to cover up an affair.  McDowell, Charles P., Ph.D. “False Allegations.” Forensic Science Digest, (publication of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations), Vol. 11, No. 4 (December 1985), p. 64.

Both the Kanin and the Air Force study are small samples, which does not make them wrong.  Three different universities replicated the Kanin study.  Consistent results from small samples indicate the need for more research, not that the findings are wrong.  The Kanin study, FBI report and other research tend to indicate the rate of approximately 25%.

However, it may be much higher. According University of Ottawa Criminal Lawyer Blane Crew, “… for a four-year period from 2003-2007, 31 per cent of sexual assault claims that Ottawa Police investigated were dismissed as unfounded — that is, they never happened — as opposed to unsubstantiated, where there isn’t enough evidence to follow the case.” Obviously, and to reiterate, an unknown number of false accusations are buried somewhere in the unsubstantiated findings.

Moreover, a 1996 Department of Justice report shows that, “…in about 25% of the sexual assault cases referred to the FBI, the primary suspect has been excluded by forensic DNA testing. Generally, definitions and acts of rape involve a forcible and non-consensual act. Regardless, a DNA match alone does not prove rape occurred. Hence, the 25% figure substantially underestimates the true extent of false allegations. Connors E, Lundregan T, Miller N, McEwen T. Convicted by juries, exonerated by science: Case studies in the use of DNA evidence to prove innocence after trial, June 1996.

The article Delhi Commission for Women concerned with rise of false rape charges reports, The Commission for Women in India, hardly a men’s rights group, found 50% of rape claims are false and often made out of vengeance.  Additionally, as reported in the Times of India, a five-year study in India found 18% of rape accusations are false and are often “coached.”

Falsely accused men are disproportionately African-American men.  Innocence Project: Facts on post-conviction DNA exonerations.

According to a 1996 Department of Justice report, “in about 25% of the sexual assault cases referred to the FBI, the primary suspect has been excluded by forensic DNA testing. Note, rape involves a forcible and non-consensual act, and a DNA match alone does not prove that rape occurred. Therefore, the 25% figure substantially underestimates the true extent of false allegations.   Connors E, Lundregan T, Miller N, McEwen T. Convicted by juries, exonerated by science: Case studies in the use of DNA evidence to establish innocence after trial. June 1996

Megan McArdle writing for Bloomberg in the 2014 article How Many Rape Reports Are False? The dark numbers behind one of the darkest crimes asked and answered, How many women falsely accuse men of rape? A lot of statistics are floating around the Internet: Two percent, say many feminists, the same as other crimes. Twenty-five percent, say other groups who quarrel with the feminists on many issues, or maybe 40 percent. Here’s the real answer: We don’t know. Anyone who insists that we do know should be corrected or ignored.”

Feminist groups not only downplay the statistical reality of false accusations, but also have been eroding due process rights of the accused, especially on college campuses and in the military. Such as by lowering the standard of proof [sic] to a coin toss preponderance of evidence, removing the right to challenge the accuser, and placing the decision in the hands of ideologically driven college employees, professors and administrators who essentially conduct very biased kangaroo courts.

Consequently, many college men are now suing their colleges for expelling them without a proper hearing. UPDATED: List of Lawsuits against Colleges and Universities Alleging Due Process Violations in Adjudicating Sexual Assault Also see: NCFM Carolinas for comprehensive information.

Brian Banks spent years in jail before his accuser recanted her false charges. His professional football career was stolen from him. He reportedly said, “’I wasn’t physically raped, but I was raped in a sense of my freedom…I was kidnapped, taken against my will, placed in a box for five years and two months. I was denied all human rights. When I screamed and pleaded and begged, it fell on deaf ears. It’s a different form of being assaulted and taken advantage of. I know what she is going through.” His accuser lived lavishly on a $750,000 settlement, was eventually ordered to repay that amount and over a million dollars more. She disappeared. Brian now works for the NFL but will never regain the five-years of his life spent in prison.

Scandals that are more recent include the Duke Lacrosse case in which Chrystal Magnum falsely accused members of the team of sexual assault. Her false accusations threw the university into turmoil, eventually led to the disbarment of a district attorney, and disgraced university professors, the Committee of Eighty-eight, who rallied to her defense. She eventually ended up murdering a boyfriend. Perhaps had she been held accountable for the Duke debacle the boyfriend would probably still be breathing? Read Until Proven Innocent by Stuart Taylor Jr. and KC Johnson.

Rape hysteria was taking root especially on college campuses. Rolling Stone took a hit after being embroiled in a gang rape scandal that wrongly defamed an entire fraternity.

The non-existent rape epidemic on college campuses and rape hysteria propelled the United States Department of Education to threaten post-secondary schools with the infamous Dear Colleague Letter, which decimated the due process rights of the accused. So hideous were the directives 21 law professors released an open letter accusing the U.S. Department of Education of unlawfully expanding how colleges must process sexual assault accusations.

NCFM, especially the NCFMCarolinas Chapter, has since the issuance of the Dear Colleague Letter worked diligently on behalf of hundreds of falsely accused college students who have had their families, education, chosen careers and lives horrifically impacted because of the hideous Machiavellian outcomes of the letter. Click here to read our press release of July 14, 2017.

No matter what the numbers are, there is no excuse for the lack of attention to the problem.  Falsely accused persons are victims not perpetrators. To deny or downplay the experiences of those victims is horrifically hypocritical victim blaming.

Much more attention and research is needed in this area.   False accusers should be prosecuted (they rarely are) and face same punishment their accused could receive.  In addition, the names of the accused should be protected as much as the names of the accusers.

I met a girl in a bar. We talked for a few hours. As the bar was shutting down, I invited her to my place. She accepted. We drove separate cars. She followed me. When we got to my home, I fixed her a drink and we started to make out. She gave me head on the couch. We moved it to the bedroom. We had vigorous sex for more than 90 minutes. She fell asleep. When she woke up she said that I had raped her and taken advantage of her. I was told that I needed to pay her for emotional distress. If I did not she would wreck my life. I refused to pay. She went on a broad smear campaign. I was arrested and released. I was fired within 48 hours of that arrest. My parents were told. My family is distraught. Did I rape her? Of course not but the whole world seems to think so. I have a lawyer which means more financial distress. I'm totally fucked.

Why would you go meet a girl in a bar anyway? That was stupid right there. Usually, people who meet up at bars tend to have issues in their relationships, since more often than not those who go to bars have issues or problems of their own. (Not always, of course)

You failed yourself. You did nor cover you own @ss. Nothing she does or says before hand can be trusted. You have to be able to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt AFTERWARDS that it was consensual. Video-recordings, witnesses anything. The legal system has been re-engineered over the last half century to make YOU guilty until proven innocent.

I also know the pain and frustration of being wrongfully accused. In my case, I was able to go back a couple years later and petition the court to have the charges expunged, and although it has helped in terms of being able to obtain employment, the rest of my life has been pretty much wrecked. I was recently dating a young lady that I care for very much. I had met her friends and family and they all thought well of me. Then she found something online that referenced the conviction and she broke it off with me without even giving me a chance to explain. When you are falsely accused, you are victimized over and over again as it follows you all throughout your life.

Here is a whopper of false accusations in a recent story from abroad.
The accuser named in the article, Marianne Grin, is a Harvard trained lawyer who lived in Florence and filed false accusations of abuse against her husband when he filed for divorce. When the accusations were proved to be false, she lost custody of the children. So what did she do? She abducted the children and went to Russia and started making the same false accusations in another country! Unbelievable? No, believable. I guess they teach you how to falsely accuse at Harvard Law, and have a good exit strategy when you get caught!

    • A.W. on October 30, 2011 at 1:57 AM

I disagree a bit as the story about Marianne Grin is already getting play in the international press. The Italian newspapers reported facts that are far more grim. Compare the following articles (use Google Translate for the Italian one).
The story in the mainstream Italian media was far more serious. Marianne Grin was not just found to be psychotic and a false accuser, she was also being investigated for child abuse. In the English story, they downplay the gravity and depravity when dealing with the mother/accuser. Lost In Translation?

I have been falsely accused of sexually abusing 2 of my former foster children. We are going to our 2nd motions hearing in 2 months. This whole ordeal is on track to cost me around 75k dollars. While I am still very hopeful that the truth will be known and the judge will either dismiss the case or grant in my favor, I still am very worried about getting stuck with this amount of debt for defending my innocence. Any thoughts?

If I were to share the details you'd understand that DSS has mis-handled this case from the very beginning. If I win this case, and I have to, what is the possibility of suing DSS, or the family that's coaching the children to make these claims? Any thoughts about that either?

At this moment we are going through hell that apparently is just starting. My daughter who has suffered from mental problems much of her life decided she no longer wanted to live at home with Myself her step father and brother. She accused her step father of sexual abuse that supposedly took place two year ago. In addition she said that at some stage I witnessed some abuse taking place. I nor any other member of the family his or mine not even her biological father and his family, counselors, special ed teacher, or any other person that she has had free availablity to speak with by herself or otherwise has ever heard even the most minor complaint of misconduct by either himself or myself. She told me why she reported it , but that is hearsay to DCS since talking to them now at least a half a dozen times and the accusations become apparently more damning with every interview she is now convinced it happened. I can not talk to her at all about the case and he has been removed from my home. When I asked if I could at least know exactly what he is being accused of of what I was supposed to see they threatened to take my son because asking questions of DCS is not cooperating with them. We have no rights and no help.

  5. A Wife on October 4, 2011 at 5:22 AM

Now, I myself have been raped by my ex-husband. I went to the hospital, did the KIT (which got lost by the police department) was forced to do a lie detector test (which showed that I was not lying), and did everything the LAW said to do.. My ex had NOTHING happen to him, he still walks free to this day. He has done this to me and his other ex-wife and the justice system doesn't do anything about it. He has even gone as far as to threaten me after that saying that he can do anything to me and get away with it at anytime. He has assulted me on several occasions after, the police did nothing. Now why is it that the Justice system prosecutes Innocent men, but lets the true Guilty ones run free?????

  6. A Wife on October 4, 2011 at 4:53 AM

My husband was accused of raping his own daughter. The prosecution withheld DNA evidence that proves his innocence until 4 years after his incarceration. He was sentenced to 10 years (which he did finish), filed 2 appeals, the case is now in the 3rd Circuit and we are hoping that it goes through this time. His ex-girlfriend was into drugs so he took their daughter away to keep her safe. The so called mother didn't like that and made accusations, the 3 year old girl was coached, and he got wrongfully charged for a crime he did NOT commit. He no longer gets to see his little girl, she was taken away by that mother, then given up to the state along with her 2 sisters. We were not together then, but today we are married and now some people are threatening our children and our marriage. They do not care that he was falsely accused, they don't care there is proof of his innocence, all they care about is that he went to jail. My husband will never get that time with his daughter back, she is now a teenager and we don't know the extent of the pain she has felt.

  7. Rich on September 30, 2011 at 11:47 AM

My 22 year old Son was falsely accused of aggravated sexual assault by his ex-girl friend shortly after he broke up with her, a girl who he shared an apartment with and had been going steady with for almost 2 years. They had 6 months left on their lease so they coinhabited (separate rooms) until it was up. My wife and I supported her for a year prior as well, as we were lead to believe she had no place to go and she was broke and couldn't afford to live anywhere (suckers we are).

Without an once of evidence, no history of violence or abuse, a clean arrest record, and only her single accusation 3 police cruisers came to my house (he was house sitting for us) and arrested him – they searched my house without a warrant even after he was in custody, and confiscated my rifles and ammunition (they already took his from his apartment), they took novelty swords, old pocket knives, and even a paintball gun – then locked him up in the state pen with a $50k cash only bail. He spent 3 days there before arraignment where our lawyer was able to "reduce" bail to $50K cash or bond. Still it cost $10,080 to bail him out using a bondsman with only $5,000 refundable. the judge said being in the military made him a flight risk???

[insert very long story of her craziness here]

3 months and nearly $20,000 later the charges were dropped. But not before he lost most of his friends, his reputation was ruined thanks to news papers and news outlets, and he missed a very important army training exercise… and so much more heart ache I can't even describe. I have so much evidence she planned this entire thing, yet there not one thing we can do about it.

  8. guest on August 24, 2011 at 9:43 PM

Five police showed up at my house looking for my son who is 23 and a college student, I am disabled and he helps me out.

They had warrent for swab because he was being accused of an sexual assualt of a girl who he doesn't even know her name but was at a house of his friends that himself, his friend, his girlfriend and another male friend was at.

He was drinking and he spent the night as he knows not to drink and drive and slept in a room by himself. These police came four months after this happened. He competes in video game computations and his friend and him practice which they do for hours.

This girl who is accusing was throwing up and sick and this floored me. My son tole me the detective had called him but he said he had nothing to say as he doesn't know her and no didn't want to come in so I guess that is why the five men to "make sure he got his swab".

What is bad when he was a senior in high school, a preivious girl friend called him late crying hysterecally to come get her and talk to her, her boyfriend broke up with her, whom was friends to the m both and he did. He had another male friend with him and picked her up and when he brought her home it was late late and parents were up and same thing, got a call on the phone that a dectitive needed us to call. I told him not to talk to anyone , we will get a lawyer.

A friend called him and told him to look on my space this girl was bragging she lied to the police and getting my son in trouble and got back with his girlfriend Nothing else happened.

I am concerned about this trend and the per cent of falsely reported rapes are as high as fifty percent on the Man Issues site states. We got a lawyer, I am not putting up with these false allegations and for those that think I do not know rape is bad.

I have been raped, with physical carpet burns, bruises and it was my husbands best friend and he did nothing (ex husband) as he said his friend was drinking. This is a ex husband and I was domestically abused and while teaching at a middle school I overheard a group of girls explain a gaim they zero in on a boy they chose and falsely accuse them of actions and the others take up of them.

Women who falsely accused should be charged and sent to counseling.

  9. ray on February 2, 2011 at 5:01 PM

False accusations against innocent men by some women are common and occur for a variety of reasons. Rape witch-hunting, domestic violence witch-hunting, sexual harassment witch-hunting, etc. are merely thin disguises for the hate movement that gender feminism truly is.

The flimsiest of false accusations by a woman can cause a man's arrest. False accusations can be devastating to a man's self-worth and his career.

Such false accusations are a form of violence and a crime, yet police and prosecutors almost never prosecute false accusers. As long as false accusers are tolerated and encouraged by a legal system, that legal system will have NO integrity – NONE!

Nuremberg like trials should be held for any member of a legal system that participates in following gender feminist ideology over Constitutional law and facts in evidence. Police, prosecutors and judges who follow gender feminist ideology are not being good servants of a system of law as they allege. They are following a corrupt, vile system and they know it. They are violating human rights and should therefore be prosecuted, sentenced, and sent to prison for it for a long, long, long time.

Eric, I feel your pain. What a horrible, horrible nightmare. My heart goes out to you.

  11. barbra on September 9, 2010 at 12:05 AM

KYLE, where did you get this explanation of women? Quite strong statements. How do you know she bit him on the neck? Maybe before that he bit her while in a sexual state. Vice Versa. I am curious to know. Thanks

    • kyle on January 21, 2011 at 9:10 PM

I put it together after decades of study on female psychology, alternative history, the bible, the occult, observation and experience. He did not bite her, she bit him to demonstrate her defiance over him while being in the submissive (on the bottom) position. She refused to be submissive to him and hence this is how she demonstrated it.

It doesn't mean it's strictly true, but this is what is taught about Eve and Lilith, for Eve in the occult IS Lilith. Even though some try to say that Lilith was Satan's second wife, she was not. They often cloak names and make up other people to hide the truth from the uninitiated and general public.

This is also done to a great deal with Corporate names and logo's, where the truth of them is hidden in plain sight. Most don't really have a clue just HOW much truth there is in corporate logo's. Michael Tsarion, Freeman at and a couple of others have videos talking about Corporate Logo's, their occult connection and how it all ties back into Egypt or Satan worship in one form or another. Since Satan gives them their wealth and power, those logo's, mostly based in Masonic specifically symbols lets them know who really owns and runs those corporations.

One of my favorites and most obvious is the department store KOHLS. Just like the names ARCO, and SOBE, this name means NOTHING in English…but in Egyptian ARCO and SOBE are names for Satan worshiping cults. In Egypt the Sobekits were "Worshipers of the serpent".

Upon further research I found out that KOHLS was the leader OF the Sobekites themselves. Unbelievable. If you've ever gone into Kohls the shirts nearly all have some kind of occult symbols and pictures on them. Whether it's skulls, bones, suns, pyramids or the like that's almost all that's on there. The youth LOVE that stuff and they have no idea at all, nor do most even care, what they're reading or wearing on themselves or it's real meanings. I heard that they do have some less obvious occult apparel as of late but they're still littered with it.

Another less obvious one is Macy's. Their catch phrase is "The Magic of Macy's" with a single Red Pentagram as their logo..hmm. Disney also has "The Magic of Disney" and of course we have "Hollywood" magic and magic wands are made FROM the wood of the Holly tree and were said to be able to be imbued with magical energies which is why magicians and sorcerers use them as their "magic wands".

Point is that there is SO much deception in the world most have NO clue. But specifically with women, as a group, not EVERY single woman, though nearly all FEEL this to some degree, and I have spoken with a LOT who have admitted it, have felt the strong pull of the dark side, the pull to go against men, to fight with men for no reason, to talk about them, put them down, falsely accuse and SO much more.

Many have admitted that they hear voices, see visions, experience strange sensations at night as though something is holding them down. They feel something brush against them in a sexual and non sexual way and SO much more. This is ALL because women were the first ones to willingly make a deal with the devil to gain POWER over Adam. Because women rejected their place as a man's Helper, they then teamed up with Satan to become his destroyer, ESPECIALLY at these end times as Satan's power grows stronger and stronger!

  12. Dan Abshear on September 6, 2010 at 1:48 PM
  13. Kyle on August 30, 2010 at 11:19 AM

Just like Satan is also called “Appolyon” and “Abbadon” which means “The Destroyer”, Women have become the DESTROYERS OF MEN in following their Master Satan into open rebellion against man and God.

Eve sought power OVER Adam in the beginning and thus didn’t delay to make a deal with Satan to gain power over Adam. She wanted to become a “god” and legend has it that a great deal of the reason had to do with not wanting to be submissive or on the bottom during sex.

In rebellion she BIT Adam on the neck, thus becoming the first vampire, which is a major reason why women are SO obsessed with vampires, vampire movies, have vampire dreams and such. Eve thus became Lilith, known as Satans consort because instead of a woman being MAN’S HELPER as God intended, they have become by their OWN CHOICE.. Satan’s (Santas) helper instead, helping Satan to DESTROY the lives in men over and over again as these stories and millions more prove over and over again.

This is in response to your request on the National Coalition for Men website. I’ve personally been through this (fairly recently) and the only advice that I can give to you is to seek full custody of the child in question, and aggressively seek out the best legal counsel that you can buy. Expect this to be at least $3-5,000 maybe more. Do what you have to do to get this money together, but that is the bare minimum that you should expect to spend on this. This is a criminal case and requires a well respected criminal defense attorney that will be on your side through this process. I was put through this by a vengeful ex, twice, and I know the pitfalls that await you on this horrifying journey.

My first mistake was thinking “I’m innocent! I just need to talk to anyone that I can to explain my side of this story.” That is incorrect, Patti. Your loved one is guilty until proven innocent in cases like this and that is the first reality that must be understood and accepted. I naively believed that I could hire a $1,500 lawyer, and get my little girl back within a matter of weeks. I was as mad as hell, and I knew that if only given a chance to defend myself I would receive justice in the legal system, the mother who made the false allegations would be punished for accusing me of this, and my daughter and I would be back together before Christmas. This first happened to me in the middle of November. I retained a $1,500 lawyer, and the days went to weeks, and then into months with no news. The lawyer avoided my phone calls, and I left voice mail after voice mail for him and he would never call me back.

Very long story short, I didn’t see my daughter again for almost 5 months, and this was no thanks to the worthless lawyer that cost me $1,500 either. Unbelievably, when the ex and I had gone to mediation, one of the mediators actually pulled me to the side when I was outside of the office and told me that I needed to get another lawyer, that is how bad this one was. So, when I did get her back, she acted afraid of me. I can only dwell on what she may have been told about me by her mother. I have no idea what emotional trauma this little baby has suffered. She wasn’t the same happy-go-lucky little girl that I had known only several months before. This was only round one. She leveled more allegations against me one week after my now wife and I were married roughly a year after the first allegations. At this point, I knew that I needed a better attorney.

I closed out my meager 401k and borrowed another thousand from relatives. I found a good, well respected attorney in my city. I remember when I was in my first meeting with him, I was venting about this horrible person and how she needs to pay for costing me so much money, hurting my little girl, and filing false reports. He listened to me go on for quite a bit and finally, he pulled out this spreadsheet that had a row running horizontally and a row that ran vertically across the page. He said “This is what you’re being accused of” and slid his finger across the page, “and this is the amount of prison that you will get if you’re convicted of it.” His finger had landed on 25-34 years.

I was completely shocked. Until that moment, it never had dawned on me that I could actually be convicted of this. I had only assumed that if you’re innocent then the truth will be found out and the truly guilty will be punished. I had never considered until that very moment that I could actually be sent to prison. When I showed up to court to face this new round of charges and she saw that I had a new lawyer, the blood drained from her face. She knew at that moment that the ruse was up and she was facing a real player. Her attorney practically crapped in his pants too. Needless to say, the charges were dismissed. She is now paying me child support and I share 50/50 custody with her, which is about the best that you can hope for.

That doesn’t negate what she put my daughter through. It doesn’t negate the fact that she financially ruined me for several years to come. And it most definitely doesn’t negate the fact that used a very serious crime against children to push her own agenda and then goes away from it virtually unharmed. What about the little kids that actually have had something like this happen to them? If you saw allegations like this on a daily basis that turn out to be untrue, don’t you think that it would make you jaded and less trusting when that little child comes through your door that actually has had trauma inflicted on them and it’s disregarded as false because the court system sees this on a daily basis? I think that the laws against falsely accusing someone of a crime of this magnitude should be enforced to the maximum and carry very stiff sentences with them. This would cut down on this BS that clogs up the courts, and denies good men and women the right to see their children by having to defend themselves against this garbage.

Exactly. If I were "the vionent criminal" that the state of Teenessee thought I was, Sandi Delk would nolt be alive now. She has stalked and harassed me ever since she realized she got away with her lie. How would anyone expect the falsely accused to react upon being within ten feet of the person who stole their life? She was close enought for me to catch and exact revenge upon her for destroying my life. I was presented a link to a website/news blog, where she (it couldn't be anyone else but her who bragged about what she did. I have been working every night for over three years now. I'm now trying to save the money to hire an attorney ( I don't know wether I need a criminal defense attorney or what/who to seek exoneration. I can't tell you how much hell and grief she caused to be brought into my life. Sometimes I have to fight myself to keep from ending it all. As of August 2, 2010, it has been four years since she brought hell into my life. I am beyond filled with misery and grief.I JUST WISH I WERE DEAD.

I am begging for your help. My husband is dealing with an ex who is psychopathic and we have just went through the worst 5 months of our lives. She accused him in February of sexually touching his daughter who is 5 which was an absolute lie and thrown out in court because the judge seen right through her. Now she has told us she is on a mission to destroy us and this is just the tip of the iceberg. We have tried to seek help with Children and Youth and the local police but have just been told good luck you will need it. Is there any one out there who has been in this situation and can give us any direction on what to do, if so it would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for the kind words. There’s nothing special about me at all. I readily admit that I might not have understood any of this were I not living it.

False Allegations of Domestic Violence is ruining my life, my life is upside down.

  27. Texas tomcat on June 24, 2010 at 9:33 AM

I can add a few words here. I know false accusations have often times killed the innocent. Remember this, I have reread my post. I have read other posts. Now I am beginning to see the light. There are towns and circles of friends who often time associate with their circles or another circle of buddies. Now getting to the point. False Rape cases are always gonna cost the every dime out of taxpayers because of selfishness, greed, and pure ungratification.

I have seen tides turn toward the accusers, these tides are known like children turning against the accusers of their paternal parent. Remember this, You cannot do wrong and expect to come out right all time. I can tell you that its going to cause more strife later on down the line.

In conclusion, I am humble to acknowledge that Contessa is a model woman standing up for the rights of innocent men who suffers daily from depression from hearing in court over false allegations from the accuser. Most people do not realize after this life. There is another judge that is impartial, no lawyer will be able to plead your case. You will have to answer for everything done in past life. Remember this, No one can escape revenge or injustice. Even the judges that are harsh on the male will have to answer to the judge in judgement day.

Picture in your mind gentlemen, the other side where there is streets of gold, water so pure you do not have to worry about chemicals, Houses you do not have to worry about maintenance and one God who is loving, caring, and more of all the compassionate.

These times will come where the current system is going to be replaced with the biblical system that is impartial. Just because the da can prosecute cases based on lies and deceit, will win in todays courts because of the special relationship with the judge. The facts are often times ignored.

Remember, victims are the small children and the innocent parents suffering the evil doings of the feminist movement. I hope one day, D.C. will abolish the NOW, and other racist organisation that contribute to hate, and dissolution to traditional family values. We as a nation need to rebuild stronger. For the children, whippings do no harm but, make stronger parental models. fathers and mothers who do not whip their kids will have barbarian kids or sociopathic adults. it has been proven in today’s society. I can say that one of these days, everyone will look around and find majority of the problems with false rape and other false allegations will vaporize. Its going to take time.

Majority of the male victims, hang on tight on what sanity you have, you will come out a winner. Female victims, I do not know if you are telling the truth. I think that you are just throwing a pity party to discredit this site. It will not work. I am to a male victim who have experienced a huge recovery mode of being the victor. One of these days, the tide will turn. Til then, hang on tight. It will get better.

Petition Supporting Anonymity For Rape Defendants

Men around the world who are falsely and wrongly accused of the loathsome crime of rape suffer all manner of appalling harm, including murder, suicide, beatings, the deprivation of employment, and the loss of their good names, due to the unconscionable stigmatization that accompanies the publicity of such accusations.

We, the members of the world community concerned about the rights and dignity of those who have been falsely and wrongly accused of rape and related offenses, call upon the governments of the world, and news agencies and outlets everywhere, to grant anonymity to the presumptively innocent who have been charged with rape and related offenses, which anonymity should be lifted only upon a conviction for such charge.

We specifically support the UK Government's May 2010 proposal to grant anonymity to defendants in rape cases, and we oppose those efforts to block the proposal for the reasons stated here:

Cheryl, I'm so sorry for your experience. No, as time goes on and persons of either gender who lack morals and integrity discover that they can lie with impunity, we will see an increase in false accusations. That's why it's so important to support NCFM.

Making false accusations: Not just for women anymore. But false accusations of rape, DV, incest, etc. against men are the most common. It's tragic.

  34. Don Saxton on April 30, 2010 at 6:26 PM

I am for equality and I am not a feminist. To me equality is a very old human desire. Call me a humanist.

False accusation is indeed a cheap shot. It is a way to ruin the accused. So far the cost to the false accuser has been very low. In a criminal trial the accused (you) has only the security that the conclusion is upto a jury of “your” peers. And all of us who played “telephone” as kids know the game can be very scary if you had to trust your life to those kids. This is particularly true when you know your innocent and the best you can imagine from a jury of your peers is 50 : 50. But having lost your house and job, you know that the cost is huge even if you win.

Move this to a non-criminal trial where there is no jury and no “beyond a reasonable doubt”. Imagine that it is not a few thugs in cabs against your gender, but the judge. Suppose that judge is the product of 40 years worth of “training” against your gender. Suppose they (the judge) has already taken your house, is making you pay for it, and you have already lost your job. Then you might already have surmised that you’re screwed. What do you have to live for? Well, did you leave out anything? What about your kids? Was there something more valuable to you, maybe more valuable than your life? Well the “judge” doesn’t care about your kids, or your life, only your gender and her feminist politics and that she and her friends are paid. So you will pay, and pay and pay. You will run yourself silly into debt, more debt than you could ever imagine. All of this because you know your kids are more important than anything. You may already know that the odds are against you 10 to 1, but your kids are all that is left.

The judge doesn’t care, because she is against your gender. At least now you know what screwed is.

  35. Cheryl on April 29, 2010 at 1:55 PM

I consider myself a feminist, in that I believe in equality. I too, was arrested on false charges, and my life is in shambles.
The problem started when I was the only female cab driver in town, and was being pursued by another cabbie, who is a drug-dealer. I politely declined several times, and when he found out I was dating someone else, retaliated against me by getting all the cabbies to sexually harass me. The harassment was extreme, egregious and humiliating. I complained to the owner of the company, but he defended the drug dealer and often participated in harassing me himself. The owner of the cab company and most of the cabbies are middle-eastern and I was constantly told “all American women are whores.” This went on for a year and a half before I finally told the lot of them that if they did not stop it, I would file suit. Instead of stopping, they retaliated even more by threatening me verbally and physically, and stalking me. They terrorized me to the point I ended up in counseling. I went to the police 3 times, unaware that the police were being sued for sexual harassment by their fellow female officers, and that they had retaliated against the female officers by falsly accusing them, and turned them into Internal Affairs on bogus charges. So instead of helping me, the police yelled at me, told me that I was “probably asking for it” and then tipped off the cabbies, so that I was retaliated against again. Eventually someone told me that the police and the cabbies were conspiring to sabotage my sexual harassment case. I do wish to say that I did not want to file a suit, I just wanted them to stop it.
A couple of weeks later, one of the cabbies chased me down and tried to punch me. Then he bit his own lip and called the police, and told them that I punched him in the face, which was a complete lie. The police made me sit in my car alone while they and the cabbies made up an absurd story that I beat up 2 men. Then they made me get out of the car and handcuffed me in front of the harassers to humiliate me. I was not allowed to tell MY side of the story, or even talk at all. The police took away my Hackney license, so I lost my job. Then they threw me in a jail cell. I have never been in trouble in my life, but I was treated like a criminal.
There is a police surveillance camera on the cab stand, but the police refused to hand over the videotape. I filed a motion in court for the videotape, and the judge also refused the motion. Then the police destroyed the videotape to cover up that they filed false police reports and arrested me on false charges. The police officers even used fake names on their reports.
I have a severe medical condition that requires me to wear hand-splints, and had several rounds of physical and occupational therapy, so it is impossible for me to punch anyone, however, my medical records were completely ignored.
I had called the District Attorney a month prior to my arrest(and I have the phone records to prove it), pleading for protection from these creeps, but the DA wouldn’t help me. Instead, the DA began threatening to take away my house and give it to these jerks if I didn’t agree to probation.
I filed charges against these guys for filing false police reports, but since they are being backed by the police, they are being “taken care of” and don’t even have to show up for court. The DA refuses to assign me a prosecutor. They also don’t have to show up for Civil court, either.
It is amazing that the DA was willing to prosecute me on no evidence whatsoever, yet refused to prosecute them for filing false police reports, in spite of OVERWHELMING evidence to back this up.
I had to sit in court and listen to everyone call these jerks “victims.”
I nearly lost my home to foreclosure because I couldn’t get a job because I now have an arrest record. My formerly perfect credit is now ruined. It has been 6 years and I still have nightmares. I have lost all faith in the so-called “Justice” system, and regard police officers as thugs. I feel frightened every time I leave my house. I no longer date because I feel revulsion towards men.
You men are not the only victims in this game. False accusations are the way to win in court.

I am the girlfriend of a man who has an ex-wife that is very abusive to him – both physically and emotionally.

Because of financial issues, they still unfortunately live under the same roof. They have two children together under the age of ten.

They have been divorced for almost two years now and he and I have been together for 7 months. He is awaiting a settlement and plans to move out depending on the outcome of this settlement.

She worries me very much. Every day she is hitting him. She punches him, pushes him, kicks him, scratches him. She cuts up his clothes, jackets, underwear. She has even taken the knife to his mattress.

He has a lot of physical problems, I.E. ongoing problems from work related injuries and whatnot. He has a herniated disk between his 5th & 6th vertabra which in return sends shooting pains down his shoulder and arm all the way to his fingertips. She will haul off and punch him right in his neck, back and/or shoulder.

He just recently had surgery to repair a bi-lateral hernia problem. Before and after the surgery, she would kick and punch him in his abdomen/groin area. She would actually wake him up by kicking him (they sleep in separate rooms) in his stomach.

She also harrasses/stalks him big time. His cell is his only telephone and she will call him 10, 20, 30 times in a row and fill up his voice mail with hateful messages.

He has mentioned many times that he is going to call the police on her. To date – he hasn’t. I realize how embarrassing and humiliating this must be for him. He is a man. A strong man. He can handle the pain she inflicts on him. That is similar to what he thinks. I have wanted to call the police on her before and he has begged me not to for his kids’ sakes.

I am seriously worried about him. He knows I am. I have cried to him about how worried I am about him. He has a hearing date coming up next week in regards to his pending settlement and his ex is acting up worse and worse each day that comes closer to that. It’s like she knows the “end” is really coming. She is sooooo controlling that in her mind, there is no way he will ever leave her, I.E. move out.

I’m scared to death that she is going to really seriously injure him. Just a couple of days ago she stabbed his mattress and cut it up (he wasn’t in the bed, but it sends chills down my spine the thought if he was….) I mean, this woman is off.

She came by my house a couple of weeks ago and rang my bell and said she wanted me to buzz her up so she can talk to him. I told her that I thought that wasn’t a good idea. She replied “WHY???? I’M HIS WIFE!!” I told her no your not and you need to go home and take care of your kids he’s with me now. She said something else and I told her that if she didn’t leave there was going to be major problems.

    She left.

She tried using intimidation and manipulation with me. Neither worked.

But that just goes to show her controlling manner. She’s used to wiping her feet all over him. I, however, will not tolerate that behavior. Which I have already voiced to her.

I’m not looking for any advice. I am just venting. I am well aware of my situation with this man. I love him and he loves me and we plan on staying together. But my God, it is so difficult dealing with a crazy ex. I just hope and pray that she doesn’t kill him.

Just got back from court. An 11 year old girl began calling and texting my 15 yr old son. Had a bad crush on him. He had a girlfriend, didn't think this girl was cute, and found her to be a total nuisance. I told him just be nice to her because she was just a little kid, but let her know he had a girlfriend and that she was too young for him to consider being anything but friends. After trying to change his mind for 3 months, she finally got mad at him for not giving in and because I blocked her number at his request. That night she told her older cousins he sent her sexual texts and tried to seduce her (by phone since they have never been in the same location in person!) They assaulted him, causing over $4,000 in medical bills. Then her mother pressed charges against my son for text stalking and electronic molestation (no lie – that is what the subpoena said). Result: The two cousins received two years probation and must pay restitution. The girl changed her story three times, then finally recanted her statements under oath and said she "exaggerated his comments to her". The charges against him were dropped, but with prejudice because the judge wouldn't look at our evidence (phone records showing the girl initiated EVERY contact and when I finally blocked her number)stating she "didn't believe an 11 year old girl could concoct such allegations" unless my son had shown "some level of disrespect". So a little girl lies and a completely innocent teenager now has a file with a charge that can be resurrected at any time until he is 18. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Every rapist’s defense is “she wanted it” or “she was asking for it” or “she enjoyed it”.

Rape isn’t a feminist invention meant to try and make a man’s life harder. Rape and abuse happen. More often than ANY gender would like to believe or accept. Not to mention most abuse is never even reported because the abuser keeps the victim is constant fear.

I think the people on this website need to grow up and accept that you can’t bully women – or anyone for that matter – into doing what you want by whining about how “unfair” you think it is that you can’t have your way with everything in a skirt.

The only thing I despise more than a rapist is a woman who lies about being raped.

A woman who lies about this is truly selfish and ignorant. Our “foremothers” fought very hard to help put laws in place to protect women and girls and these are the women that take advantage of it.

Real rape victims go through so much horror with the legal system and with society in general. Their validity is always questioned. These women who lie do nothing but set us back many generations.

Hello, I understand the feeling. I am going through this right now. I found out that my wife was cheating on me, after trying to convince her to go with me to counseling, she refused. Then when I called and confronted the man she was cheating on me with because I found his number on the phone bill. I filed for divorce and I found myself, being issued an order of protection against me, falsely accused of harrassment and stalking, arrested and now I have to hire an attorney to defend myself in criminal court next week for aggravated harrassment, stalking, and even physical abuse when I never even laid a finger on her. By the way her attorney’s fees are free because she is working through a woman’s advocacy group. Then to top it all off, after the order of protection was issued, she goes a invitro fertilzation center to try and get pregnant with the man she left me for, using my health insurance.
I feel the system is totally against men and that women can use the system to maliciously prosecute men just to be vengeful. CAN ANYONE HELP ME. JOSE FROM NYC.

To the feminists (such as myself) out there I say this: False allegations/the propensity to adopt a "women don't lie about sex" mentality negates the very essence of "equal rights". A true feminist ideal is for -complete equality-. A level playing field on all accounts; this includes in a court of law.

Additionally, for *every, single* false allegation, a girl somewhere (that has truly been grievously assaulted) is undermined. We'll revert back to the days when women don't come forward at all- because too many have cried wolf. As a feminist, this should offend your sensibilities to the core!!

I've been dealing with this false accusation ordeal for 2 1/2 years with my son. His girlfriend at the time was breaking up and going back with her ex and she claimed false accusations on him… he was convicted on circumstantial evidence only and the attorney that was hired died 3 months before the trial. He ended up with an inexperienced attorney from the firm. It was horrible… there was NO defense at all. Out of ignorance the family did not know what to do… or if there was anything that could be done. Now, the appeal opportunity is over… and the family is lost.. any help would be great.
