Pay Gap

April 15, 2011

Read the book! Men don't always earn more. In fact, many women start at higher earnings than men for doing the same work. Is there really a "pay gap"?

Despite gains made by women the pay gap continues to be used in misleading ways to advance public policy agendas without fully explaining the reasons behind the pay gap.

Here, you will find a good starting place for understanding “pay gap” misleading information and why it continues to be used by Power Elite Feminists to push their agendas.

The “pay gap” only exists because men work far more hours at high-stress jobs they hate with longer commutes, less flexibility, more physical risk, etc., just to be breadwinners and feed their families, only to die younger and get bashed for “earning more.”  The “pay gap” is only a snapshot of average yearly full-time incomes that does not account for overtime (about 90% male), type of work, or other factors.  The Dept. of Labor funded a study that shed light on this issue.

See also, Prof. June O’Neill, Ph.D. (former director of Congressional Budget Office), “The Gender Gap in Wages, circa 2000,” American Economic Review, 5/03.)

In “Why Men Earn More,” Warren Farrell, Ph.D. examined 25 career/life choices men and women make (hours, commute times, etc.) that lead to men earning more and women having more balanced lives, and that showed how men in surveys prioritize money while women prioritize flexibility, shorter hours, shorter commutes, less physical risk and other factors conducive to their choice to be primary parents, an option men still largely don’t have. That is why never-married childless women out-earn their male counterparts, and female corporate directors now out-earn their male counterparts.

Farrell also lists dozens of careers, including fields of science, where women out-earn men, fields where there is a real pay gap and women still retain the same choices to opt in and out.

Women simply have more options than men to be primary parents , and many of them exercise that option rather than work long, stressful hours.  That is why 57% of female graduates of Stanford and Harvard left the workforce within 15 years of entry into the workforce.

This is an option few men have (try being a single male and telling women on the first date that you want to stay home).  The latest research shows women still seek men who earn more than they do.

Blaming men for women’s choices is unfair.  In fact research shows most men have no problem with their wives out-earning them.

Research also shows most working dads would quit or take a pay cut to spend more time with kids if their spouses could support the family.

For more, see:

A 2010 study from the market research firm Reach Advisors found that in 147 of the 150 largest U.S. cities, the median full-time salaries of unmarried, childless women under 30 was 8 percent higher than those of men in their peer group. For Atlanta and Memphis, women in their peer category earned 20 percent more than men.

After reading your blog post I browsed your website a bit and noticed you are not ranking nearly as well in the search engine as you could be. I possess a handful of blogs myself and I think you should take a look at speed rank SEO. You will find it a very good tool that can help you rank on the top of search engine, just search speed rank SEO on google. Keep up the quality posts

An excellent book that exposes the 76-cent fraud and other Feminist frauds is “Toward a Balanced Message” by Lucien Bracquemont. The Feminists have met their match!

Never in the history of the human race has a group of women got together and built a Bridge, Ship, Plane, House etc etc. This is simply because they only really care about is the space equal to approx a few square meters around them.
Trust me when i say this. MOST WOMEN FEEL LESS VALUED THAN MEN and this is why they constantly bash the male genitals as it where. The answer to all this rubbish about gender bias is simple. Be a good man period. Let them bitch about how you men are so inferior and get on with your lives. Work hard, earn as much as you can and enjoy your life to the MAX. If your life was great you wouldnt give a shit what they think. Go out and enjoy your life.

      I think I love you.

The problem with your argument is that when women or the media bash men, it facilitates a gender biased setting in which to view real issues. Rumors about men in the workplace or in colleges are very detrimental because a lot of the decisions made by these institutions do not require a high standard of evidence. So, men suffer real consequences, often without due process. Men are thrown out of colleges or fired for a minor incident that is blown out of proportion because of a woman who is oversensitive and does not understand or care about the psychology of men or the rigid restrictions placed on masculinity. Men care about: “aggressiveness, ambition, ribbing, competition, passion, authority and plain speech” -Karen Straughan.

    I agree

  6. PeterPan on November 4, 2012 at 4:28 PM

You really have problem with reality, don’t you? Staying home and looking after family clearly is much lesser demanding then mining or going to fight wars, is it so hard to understand this? Btw , you talk so much without risen.

Women DO NOT choose to be primary parents to “escape stressful long hours”. They do it because only women can breastfeed babies, so a mother’s presence is more required during the early years of childrearing.

    • Mike on December 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM

Yeah maybe one day someone will invent some kind of food that babies can eat as an alternative to being breast fed. Maybe they will call it baby food. Then women will be freed from the constraints of watching tv all day.

These politicians that are caving-in to this gender-pay-gap myth are just trying to get votes. Unfortunately for us hardworking men, it’s working. Women rarely take the high-risk high paying jobs but they want to earn the same as a man that does take that risk and make those sacrifices. If you don’t believe me watch deadliest catch, wicked tuna, ax-men, and the newest one iron men. Don’t see women taking those jobs.

Feminist are not the whole problem, the biggest problem men have is the female-sympathizers that keep passing the one-sided laws.

  10. CANCANWILLDO on November 12, 2011 at 10:38 AM

Feminists do not hate men. This is annoying. New Age feminism supports equal rights all around the table. Do your research before opening up a can of worms.

    • Gregory on December 23, 2011 at 2:02 AM

THANK YOU! There are even MEN who are feminists! Do THEY hate men!? Well then, I guess they hate themselves. This site is nothing but trash made by a bunch of female-hating, male pigs who have nothing better to do than be internet TROLLS. Perhaps they even look like trolls. Guys who can't get it up or pissed that they have no true political power to control the population. This place has nothing relevant, nothing with REAL and VIABLE sources to back up their bullshit…and most the stuff is crap that is twisting things around to make it out that MEN are the ones who have it rough. WTFE.

Excuse my language. But this place is really stupid and lame.

      • Marc A. on March 10, 2012 at 7:40 PM

Feminists may not hate men, but they spread misandry and myths about men, and they support laws that discriminate against men, such as the laws that exclude male victims of DV from services, the laws in India that exclude male rape victims from protection, etc. They have supported differential criminal sentencing by gender. They tried to create a "man tax" in Sweden. Feminists who support equal rights support the men's rights movement. Like the women who was president of NOW in Dallas, who started the

Dallas chapter of NOW. And former NOW president Karen DeCrow who supports fathers' rights. And the "Womanist" movement of mostly minority women who don't want to call thenselves feminists and who differentiate themselves from feminists because "Womanists" support men's rights too.

Gregory, seriously, your ignorance is one thing, but your reactionary ad homs make you look stupid.

        • Irony on January 8, 2013 at 1:51 PM

“your ad homs make you look stupid” Hmmmmm.

      • Mad Dog Mike38321 on March 25, 2012 at 8:18 PM

they are victims of their own sense of chivalry and the feminist exploit this to their advantage. women have been allowed to change their roll in our society, men are expected to stay within their rolls. this is a big problem the Mens rights group has. we have to try to wake these so-called male feminist(YUCK THE SOUND OF THOSE WORDS MAKES ME WANT TO HURL) up and let them smell the coffee.

  11. Barry on June 2, 2011 at 10:50 AM

Feminist hate men due to the fact the want equal pay without the hard work or effort put into it.They are also living in the past about a century ago when men worked and women stayed at home and raised the kids. Also these feminist are listening to TV shows like the view who are just a bunch of men haters and are looking for a excuse to bash men for their own inferior self..

    • skepticron on October 28, 2012 at 8:40 AM

So what does that make the men in the workplace who want equal pay for doing less demanding work or no work at all? And what does that make women who put in incredibly long hours in jobs like nursing or teaching that men seldom do? And what does that make women who put in astonishingly long hours doing volunteer work for their schools and communities, work that most men simply refuse to do? Can you say hypocrite? You should, because it fits you so well.

  12. Fred Sottile on May 4, 2011 at 6:43 AM

OK, Let's talk about the productivity gap.

Men designed, built and maintain virtually everything.

The day men stop doing the heavy lifting, the world grinds to a halt.

I feel as though men should go on strike to demonstrate this, but men have too much integrity and are not vindictive enough. Perhaps they will one day be forced to demonstrate. That of course, will be the result of extreme domestic violence committed against them as an unprotected group, by women who have become a Federally protected group.

    • skepticron on October 28, 2012 at 8:35 AM

Your comments here are a non-sequitur. The issue is not who does the most difficult work, but when a man and woman do the same work with the same qualifications, they do not receive equal pay.

And your comment that men “designed, built and maintain virtually everything” is astonishingly ignorant of reality. I suppose you would deny the many great scientific discoveries by women. You are a good example of the attitude that pervades business and society in general and it’s the reason that the pay gap exists at all. It’s also amazingly misogynistic in that your argument suggests that the work of women in the home and in primarily female-dominated careers is of less value than those of men. You are a great example of a sexist pig. I certainly hope my two daughters never encounter you in their life. And if they do, I would advise them to give you a kick in the nuts.

      • PeterPan on January 8, 2013 at 6:58 PM

@ skepticton you truly are retarded.
When did you heard a man asking for equal pay, he simply goes and gets it by negotiating or changing job even if he hates it to get more pay.
A point, most man move faster in teaching then woman do, man works longer and harder even in female dominated jobs, man is promoted more.
Man do not have much time for voluntary jobs, check what it means voluntary – so don’t ask for pay.
Female Tennis players had asked for equal pay for 3 sets where man have to play 5 sets yet more ppl watch man play but as yet no male model had asked for equal pay . So who is hypocrite?!
It just unbelievable how stupid some ppl are and you clearly one good example.

  13. so on April 20, 2011 at 10:10 PM

Why do people hate men so much? Does no one actually want equality anymore? It seems they only want role reversal, like they want "their chance at the top."

  14. William Wallace LA on April 15, 2011 at 3:21 PM

In light of the insipid propaganda we are bombarded with, if this doesn't make your blood boil, you need a defibrillator. Females, affirmative action have ruined everthing. Steal money from those who earned, and give it to those who didn't. Thanks 'feminist' psychos.
