Earlier this month Carl Augustsson, Ph.D Candidate, NCFM Liaison, Democratic Republic of Georgia, was on a television program along with a local feminist.
While feminism as most of us know it has not taken root in Georgia, there are some gender discriminatory practices and institutions.
In this segment Carl discusses those after introducing the National Coalition For Men and explaining our purpose.
This is the first time such an interview has taken place in Georgia. Carl has been invited back for another segment this summer.
With respect to western feminism Carl said, “I realize that such vicious feminism has not come to Georgia; I intend to keep it that way!”
There were translation issues so even if you are understand Georgian, supposedly the most difficult language on the planet to learn, you may find the interview challenging.
For those of us, like me, who don’t speak that language you should advance the cursor through the video for the segments with Carl speaking.
Regardless, this is another NCFM first and we are proud to have someone of Carl’s abilities working on behalf of men and women throughout the world.
Nice work Mr. Augustsson, nice work indeed.
Mr. Augustsson is a professor of Political Science and English for the Caucasus University in Tbilisi.
