false accusations

False accusations are real, frequent and dangerous. People lie. False accusations should worry all of us, especially those who love those whose lives and livelihoods are destroyed by lies. Tragically, few false accusers are penalized, especially women.

The widely repeated claim that only 2% of rape accusations are false is preposterous. There is no substantive, scientifically based, research or data to support it. As typically used, it is a bold lie given as fact. It rose to farfetched fame from an off-handed remark in a speech before 30 New York attorneys by Lawrence H. Cooke in 1974. Radical feminist Susan Brownmiller then misappropriated it in her 1975 book Against Our Will: Men, Women and Rape.

Brownmiller’s wrongheaded misappropriation became sensational, extremely dangerous, culturally ingrained, socially accepted and ideological propaganda gold. It even found its way into the 2015 Snapshot Review of Sexual Assault Report Files at Four of the Largest U.S. Military Bases in 2013, released by the Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D) New York. It says, “It should be noted that the best research in the field of sexual assault shows the rate of false accusation…falls between 2% and 8%…” which was attributed to the FBI. Senator Gillibrand’s new standard, vis-à-vis Dr. Christine Beasley Ford is less than 2%, not one, none, zero. “I believe her because she’s telling the truth,” no corroborating evidence necessary, all women are to be believed.

John Davis , prosecutor, trial lawyer and author of How to Avoid False Accusations of Rape: Self-defense in the Feminist State…, explained it in a post on our Facebook page:

Reporting that the FBI says the rate of false accusations of rape is only 8% does not mean the other 92% of rape accusations are true. It means that law enforcement determines 8% of accusations of rape are so false they do not refer those cases to the prosecutors. The prosecutors determine that at least another 60% of the cases are false, are dismissed and in many cases, prosecutors never even file charges.

Davis explained,

The reason we don’t know the exact rate of false accusations of rape above 65% is that many men, fearing a 50-year sentence, will plead guilty, even though they are innocent, in exchange for a sentencing cap. Many convicted men are, in fact, innocent but we don’t know how many.

Estimates of false rape allegations provided over the years have ranged from 0.25% to 90%. Nobody knows for sure because of differing definitions of rape and false allegations, data compilation, reporting systems and statistical management. Nonetheless, people also lie about other sexual assault, harassment, domestic violence, child abuse and Texas hold’um, even women.

Including apparently minacious and character disordered women raining terror on their victims with one salacious falsehood after another like a professional cage fighter beating bloody an ill-fated opponent. In fact, false accusations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence and child abuse are so common in high conflict family court cases they have a name, the Silver Bullet, like in killing vampires.

Silver Bullets get alimony, cash, children, child support, property (real and personal), vengeance and even pets. Such lies impact the lives of millions of distraught families with mothers gaining primary physical custody of the children roughly 90% or more of the time. A supervising San Diego judge once told me, “Everyone lies in Family Court.” To my knowledge, no politician, District Attorney, City Attorney or Presiding Judge has ever sought solutions to minimize the horrifically destructive force of lies in Family Court, not in San Diego or anywhere else. Best interests of children be damned.

The above misuse of data reveals some of the reckless and unscientific self-interest propaganda by feminist/progressives. Conversely, Phillip Cook and Tammy Hodo in their 2013 book, “When Women Sexually Abuse Men” report four reliable studies that found false allegation rates of 62 percent, 41 percent, 50 percent, and 60 percent.

We need to understand and accept the higher rates to fully understand the incredible damage done by false allegations, especially sexual misconduct.  There are many horrific examples of harm caused and caused mostly to boys, men, fathers and their families as well as women who love them, including men in the armed forces.  Here are a few examples.

Silver Bullets tore up Major Christian “Kit” Martin’s life, including his extended family. His bigamist wife threatened to destroy him because he wanted a divorce. She accused him of sexual assault, child abuse and international spying, all of which wrongly implicated him in a triple homicide, nearly sent him to prison for 58-years, destroyed his otherwise unblemished military career and nearly drove he and his parents to bankruptcy. He passed several polygraphs, military and civil investigations, and one civilian judge at a restraining order hearing even dressed down the ex-wife for lying and trying to involve their children in her deceit. The Army, under political pressure, persecuted Major Martin anyway, even though Army prosecutors knew the fabricated charges came from vengeance and greed. His false accuser stood to gain tens of thousands of federal dollars, base privileges and medical benefits as a domestic violence victim.

Fortunately, Major Martin and his family moved away from their nightmare. Major Martin is now a commercial airline pilot. To our knowledge, after her conviction for bigamy, the malicious, conniving, vindictive, lying and perhaps murderous woman roams free to victimize again.

Colonel David “Wil” Riggins was looking forward to promotion until Susan Shannon of Everett, Washington posted on the Internet that Col. Riggins raped her in 1986 at West Point, 32 years before her post. Summarily removed from the promotion list Col. Riggins retired. His career demolished. Not because he was guilty, but merely because he was accused. Col. Riggins later won an 8.4-million-dollar civil suit for defamation. Jurors wanted to severely punish Ms. Shannon hoping to forewarn other women from making preposterous false and destructive claims.

Might the bombarding of such highly decorated war Veteran careers’ have something to do with fear of retaliation from Senate Armed Services Committee members who proclaim to believe-all-women — Kirsten Gillibrand D-NY and Sen. Glaire McCaskill, D-Mo., and men “just shut up Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii. All three sit on the Senate Armed Services Committee; have intimidated commanders, derailed military careers and even unlawfully interfered with the military judicial system. Aside from cases like those above, there are many more wherein such fear and unlawful command interference callously ruined innocent lives and heroic careers.

Salem witch trials were child’s play next to today’s no tolerance or common-sense warlock avengers. Even young girls learn the power of the lie. In Pennsylvania, after being bullied and tortured at school, a 13-year-old boy was handcuffed and hauled off to a juvenile detention facility because five girls falsely accused him of all sorts of things just because they did not like him. The school and the District Attorney believed the girls, no other evidence required.

Just this October Teresa Sue Klein was caught on video calling police on a nine-year-old black child she accused of “sexually assaulting” her when he brushed up against her butt inside a Flatbush, Brooklyn, store. Dubbed by the Internet as #CornerstoreCaroline, Teresa Sue, clearly made the false accusation out of anger just because she could. Then, she lied about lying.

Governments use such lies to steal, harass and destroy. Ashley Harris falsely accused rancher Jerry Cox of sexual assault. Jerry paid $50,000 to a bondsman to get out of jail, eventually spent $400,000 on attorney fees, and it took California’s Mariposa County District Attorney roughly two years to drop the charges he knew were false. It appears some local leaders resented Jerry’s success and used Ms. Harris’s lies to drive Jerry into bankruptcy and prevent him from working and living on his ranch, taking care of his animals, and maintaining his livelihood. The County fabricated over 100 code violations, put the ranch into receivership and set the stage for stealing his over 400-acre spread. A sheriff in another county recently told us that they could not serve a complaint on Ms. Harris because when contacted by telephone she said she had an active restraining order against Jerry. Not true. Lies come easy for some. NCFM (we) heard Ms. Harris made similar false allegations against others. She should be in prison. We hope to help her get her there. After considerable investigation, Ms. Harris was served. We also believe she committed fraud by collecting $2,900 from California’s Victim Compensation Program in relocation benefits. Ms. Harris is not the victim, Jerry is.

Thomas Klocke was a heterosexual student at the University of Texas at Arlington. The school punished him without due process after a gay student accused Klocke of sexual misconduct. He denied the charges. There was no proof. Dreams destroyed, clinically depressed, he killed himself. In the past few years, there have been over 100 suicides by college students falsely accused by young women. Surviving families must see it as murder by political correctness. We see it as assassination by lies.

Suicides in the military are gruesomely high too. As I type, one of the organizations NCFM helped start has a falsely accused soldier on suicide watch. There is no going back. Damaged beyond repair, his military career is over and his dream of becoming a teacher after retiring from the military trashed. The charge of sex offender, even though false, will forever be in his record. Even though innocence, there is a good chance the military will run him out of the service anyway with an other-than-honorable discharge. He is emotionally wrecked and unstable thanks to the false allegations and ill-treatment by the military. If he survives, he will never again get a security clearance or have a job that requires one. Forever screwed by false allegations.

Our military no longer stands tall for innocent Servicemen for fear of political retribution. Like former President Obama’s infamous Dear Colleague Letter threatened post-secondary institutions for noncompliance, so too have politicians instilled fear in the ranks of our defenders, including the dread of lost career advancement, undesirable duty assignments or diminished budgets if they do not comply. Like trashed dreams, our military men are now a disposable sacrifice to social justice, political convenience and the ridiculous notion that accusations by women are spot-on and unassailable. Many have told me they prefer war; at least there, buddies have their back.

The #MeToo movement rocketed into our culture like a heat-seeking missile launched in significant part by the Dear Colleague Letter and loaded with the toxic social justice payload that all allegations by women are to be believed. The letter directed colleges to use the lowest possible standard of evidence in sexual assault cases, discouraged cross-examination of accusers, facilitated feminist favored tribunals and otherwise pretty much destroyed constitutional protections of the accused, virtually all men. Similar standards metastasized throughout our armed forces as shown above.

NCFM recently filed Title IX complaints with the Department of Education against the University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University and Northeastern for discriminatory practices against men. Georgetown Professor C. Christine Fair tweeted that entitled white men deserve miserable deaths while feminists laugh as they take their last gasp and that the castrated corpses be fed to swine. Freedom of speech or not, she should be arrested for making terrorist threats. Northeastern’s Professor Suzanna Danuta Walters, speaking to men in an op-ed wrote, “Pledge to vote for feminist women only. Don’t run for office. Don’t be in charge of anything. Step away from the power. We got this… We have every right to hate you. You have done us wrong.”

No, we have not, and neither Fair nor Walters would be able to speak as freely as they do have millions of men not died miserable deaths defending their right to say despicably miserable things. In fact, after reading this, look around. What do you see that men built? Women don’t got this, at least not women like Brownmiller, Fair, Walters, Klein, Harris, Gillibrand, McCaskill, and “just shut upHirono. These women don’t build, they demolish.

Conversely, Catholic University suspended Will Rainford as dean of the National Catholic School of Social Service, over tweeting criticism of Julie Swetnick, Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s third accuser. Swetnick reportedly said she saw him at high school parties verbally abusing girls and encouraging them to drink supposedly making sexual assault easier for boys.

Rainford tweeted, “Swetnick is 55 y/o. Kavanaugh is 52 y/o. Since when do senior girls hang with freshman boys? If it happened when Kavanaugh was a senior, Swetnick was an adult drinking with & by her admission having sex with underage boys. In another universe, he would be the victim and she the perp!” Catholic University students protested for mocking a victim. As far as we can see, all Rainford did was raise a valid question and make an all too true observation. Catholic U threw him under the PC bus. Dean Rainford is the real victim.

Rainford raised reasonable plausibility while Fair and Walters spewed treacherously vile hate speech. Fair got an extended overseas vacation and Walters still has an office. Neither publicly apologized. Rainford apologized and got suspended. He had nothing to apologize for either.

Lies, hate speech, vigilantism, and mob mentality in no way make allegations true. All allegations need serious and thorough vetting. Malicious accusers must be held accountable and suffer similar consequences faced by their accused. To our knowledge, none of the accusers above has been criminally charged and only a few face civil actions.

Even so, courage, action and determination breed hope. Vladek Filler came to this country for freedom and opportunity. He believed in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution along with their protections. He was married and has custody of his children. His wife made horrific false allegations. Mary Kellett, a prosecutor in Maine, went after Vladek. It turns out that she, with the apparent support of the District Attorney went after other falsely accused men too.

They picked on the wrong man when they picked on Vladek. Consequently, Kellett became the first Assistant District Attorney in the State of Maine convicted for prosecutor misconduct, including misleading a jury, as in lying. Vladek stayed the course and won a huge victory in Federal Court that reigned in the power of abusive prosecutors across America, making clear that such obscene practices are illegal, intolerable, and that women lie, and men are falsely accused. Vladek, against all odds, won against 17 prosecutors from Hancock and Washington counties, sheriff’s deputies, police officers, Hancock County and the city of Ellsworth.

Typically, women are not held accountable for making false accusations, no matter how destructive, even if they destroy entire families or cause suicide or murder. False accusers must suffer consequences. It is not a matter of how many do what to whoever how many times. Lies of sexual assault, rape, domestic violence and child abuse can be hideously impactful with life-altering consequences to the innocent mark. Ideology is no substitute for truth. Today, men are guilty even after proven innocent. We need to stand tall and protect our boys, men, their families and the women who love them. We need to hold false accusers accountable.

“And I just want to say to the men in this country, just shut up and step up. Do the right thing — for a change,”  Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii.

Please do not support anyone who believes men should just shut up; or anyone who says accusers are truthful just because they say they are, which is dumber than Hirono’s ignorant, insulting and disrespectful remarks. Sexual assault allegations, like other criminal allegations, need to be treated seriously and with respect regardless of gender.

Finally, demand of your elected officials that all allegations of any type be proven by the clear and convincing standard of evidence and false accusers be held accountable, especially the malicious ones. Please, do not vote for brain-dead blockheads, nitwits and fools who believe women do not lie or that all men are guilty until proven innocent.

We can do better.

I invite everyone to check out the Presentations by Major Christian “Kit” Martin, Vladek Filler and others from 2017 for more details on their stories. Thankfully, I was able to be at the NCFM 2017 Conference and watch all the presentations. Major Christian “Kit” Martin’s testimony was unforgettable!
