NCFM letters result in the removal of Dad bashing poster in San Diego Family Court

dad bashing

Update, Thursday, October 12, 2012:

It was reported that not only had the poster been taken down, but it was replaced by a similar poster which is completely gender inclusive and neutral. We hope to get a picture of it…

Judge Maureen F. Hallahan, Superior Court, Supervising Judge, Family Court Division, thanks us for bringing to her attention the problems associated with the poster on the left, the one that hung in a Superior Court building for all to see. The poster has been removed. It was replaced by another poster. Let’s hope doesn’t bash parents, regardless of sex. ?We sent her a nice thank you letter. You can read the Judge’s letter by clicking on this link.

Here’s the back story…

On September 12, 2012 NCFM sent a short letter to Robert J. Trentacosta, San Diego County, Superior Court, Presiding Judge, which you can read in our earlier article, NCFM letter to San Diego Superior Court Judge Robert J. Trentacosta re Dad bashing poster .

In short, we requested that a Dad bashing poster hanging on a wall in the South County Courthouse be immediately removed. We confirmed yesterday morning that the poster has not be removed. Nor have we received a reply from Judge Trentacosta or any other judge on the letter’s distribution list.

Hence, we decided to try again. Our National Board Secretary, a noted California civil rights attorney, expanded our request into another letter which was sent today which you can read here: 120925 Al Rava ltr Re South Bay Poster.

We are hopeful Mr. Rava’s new reuest will cause the poster to be removed, a letter of explanation from Judge Trentacosta’s office, and a directive to all San Diego courthouses, judges, and administrators that such gender biased propaganda has no place in public facilities, especially those considered to be halls of justice.

STOP DAD BASHING!

STOP DAD BASHING!

NO DAD BASHING. NO DAD BASHING. NO DAD BASHING. NO DAD BASHING. NO DAD BASHING. NO DAD BASHING. NO DAD BASHING.

Good idea Anthony. In fact, if any of you spot one, take a picture of it and send it to us. If appropriate, we’ll send the appropriate court personnel an appropriate letter… or two.

Wait they forgot to add ” My dad lives in the basement of Grandma’s house and eat baked beans everynite while mom gets her nails done and takes us out to dinner, I have seen my dad because he’s in jail for not paying the childsupport he owes the support collection unit that claims he is in arrears, funny because dad has his pay garnished before he gets it, and when they over charge him he never gets the money he overpaid to them” mom has a new boyfriend he doesn’t have a job, sometimes he beats me up when mom goes out with her friends. I sure wish I could live with dad but the judge won’t let me because he won’t get the federal matching funds so he can use it on booze and pornography. Boy the system sure works and is just looking out for ” the child’s best interests!

That’s a very nice follow up letter from Mr. Rava. Let’s hope the hateful and biased poster is taken down immediately. If not, it will be a sad commentary on the extent of the misandrist corruption in our legal system.

I’d be surprised if Rava’s letter, combined with the earlier NCFM letter, doesn’t cause these state workers to take down this sign. What in the world were they thinking anyway when this hung this doozy up on a courthouse wall?
